Whales & Dolphins: Broome's Ultimate Wildlife Cruise

This is Broome marine wildlife, done properly, and this cruise puts you right in the middle of it.

Spend five hours on the water aboard our spacious 65ft Contessa C, searching for humpback whales and the rare Australian snubfin dolphin in their natural home. 

The first half takes you into open water along the Broome coastline. Humpback season brings these animals close to shore — breaching, lobtailing, escorting calves — and our marine biologist is reading every move. They'll tell you what species you're looking at, what the behaviour means, and what's happening beneath the surface. We drop a hydrophone in the water so you can hear the whale song yourself. It's not a recording. It's live, real, and happening right next to the boat.

Then we head into Roebuck Bay. Past Entrance Point and Reddell Beach, the water changes — shallower, calmer, and home to a resident population of snubfin dolphins. The Australian snubfin wasn't even classified as its own species until 2005, and Roebuck Bay is one of the most important habitats they have. Our marine biologist knows this bay and these animals.
